Hi I‘m Nick Glenn. I’m running for Salt Lake County Council District One.

You may know me as the Salt Lake County Democratic Party Executive Director, but I am a lot more than that. I am a 6th generation Utahn, a husband and (soon to be) father, a proud IBEW member, and an unapologetically progressive Gen-Z Democrat.

I have spent the last several years of my life working to elect Democratic candidates, from federal campaigns across the country, to local city races, to the two years I've spent with the Salt Lake County Party. I know what it takes for Democrats to win in Salt Lake County. I’ve helped elect dozens of candidates in local races, and last year despite Democrats losing nationwide, our County candidates won five out of the nine Salt Lake County seats. We also elected our first ever Democrat as Salt Lake County Treasurer and not a single Democratic incumbent in the County lost their position. Now I want to step up and serve our community, not just by electing great candidates, but by serving in office myself. 

I am running for County Council District 1 because we need more leaders like me in public office: Young Democrats who will fight for Salt Lake County families, promote progressive policy solutions, help elect other Democrats, and make our County better for future generations. I want to be our next Salt Lake County Councilmember so I can help build a County that is safe, affordable, and equitable for all. That has clean air and water. Where our kids can afford to buy a home in the same neighborhood they grew up in, and where I know my, and all, of our families will thrive.
